Methodology
Updated August 26, 2026
Top GEO Agencies is an independent directory compiled by marketing analysts. There is no paid placement. Services affiliated with the analysts are not promoted here.
Reviews of GEO and AEO agencies are compiled with human judgment and thorough AI-assisted research. Each profile uses how the agency characterizes itself, named case-study pages, published reviews, third-party roundups, social sentiment when a source characterizes it, and archived snapshots from the Wayback Machine to reconstruct the firm’s history. A number, quote, review score, or client result that cannot be sourced is omitted, as are private win rates, unpublished retainers, and unverified claims. Clients named only in marketing materials are labeled claimed.
Directories such as Clutch and G2, which operate on a pay-for-play, paid-profile model, are not treated here as independent rankings.
Third-party review text was used only where it still looked like a real client comment. Items that appeared paid, solicited as marketing, or otherwise biased were omitted where that could be judged.
Ranking on this site means best-fit within a specialty or industry. There is no global #1 list of agencies.
Trust-signal categories
- Length of time in business / founding year, when public.
- Company history from archived snapshots (Wayback Machine), when the live site is thin or has changed.
- Published case studies, named, with a description of what is on the page.
- Online reviews (Clutch, G2, Google), only when a snapshot could be sourced. Clutch and G2 listings are pay-for-play; those scores are not used as this directory’s scores.
- Social sentiment, only when a source characterizes it.
- The agency’s own GEO success: sourced thought leadership or documented AI-search visibility of the brand itself.
- Qualitative “best for,” using short quotes from public sources, attributed. Quotes are not invented.
- Other public differentiators: pricing if published, GEO-native versus SEO retrofit, product/tooling, verticals.
Review language
Reviews describe fit with “good fit for…” and “works well for…”. They do not instruct a buyer to avoid an agency.
Self-published 2026 lists
Many 2026 “best GEO/AEO agency” articles are written by agencies that rank themselves first. Superframeworks documented the pattern and, having no agency to sell, ranked on verifiable artifacts. VOCTOS, LoudFace, Stratabeat, Crackle PR, Embarque, First Page Sage, and others publish lists of that shape. First Page Sage’s own GEO-agencies article also places FPS first. This directory is compiled separately from those lists.
Clutch’s U.S. GEO directory listed about 314 firms (ratings updated July 23, 2026). There is no Gartner Magic Quadrant or Forrester Wave for GEO agencies. Superframeworks’ 2026 ten put Omniscient Digital first and did not include FPS in the top 10. Clutch Global Spring 2026 Top 15 GEO did not include FPS, iPullRank, Siege Media, Omniscient Digital, Graphite, or Go Fish Digital.
Placement and confidence
No agency paid to be included or featured. Services affiliated with the analysts are not promoted. Homepage review cards are a sample of the directory.
High confidence: founding facts, a public site, and multiple corroborating sources. Medium: a public site and third-party mentions, with thinner case-study or review evidence. Low: inclusion is still warranted, but the public record is thin. Several full-service names without archived GEO case studies, such as OuterBox, are marked that way.
